Terms of sale and license

The product

The Overcaption app is free to download and use, with no time limit. Overcaption Pro is an optional subscription (yearly or monthly, price and currency shown at checkout) that unlocks the Pro features listed on the pricing page. After purchase you receive a license key, shown on screen and sent by email.

• A Pro license is personal and covers up to three machines you use yourself
• Activation is by license key; no account is created
• Keep your key private; a publicly shared key can be disabled
• Pro's cloud features carry fair use of 10 hours a month each, to keep them sustainable

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you subscribed unless you were notified of a change in advance. Cancel anytime by emailing support@overcaption.com from your purchase address; there is no retention flow. After cancellation, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, plus an offline grace window, and the free app keeps working forever. Nothing you made is ever locked.

Withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Because a license key is digital content delivered immediately, activating your key within those 14 days counts as your express request for immediate performance and your acknowledgment that the right of withdrawal is lost on activation, as EU law provides for digital content.

• Already activated? Email support anyway: refund requests are handled case by case in good faith
• The 14-day free Pro trial exists precisely so you can try everything before paying

Overcaption is operated by an independent sole proprietorship registered in Italy. VAT number: IT04292510239. Contact: support@overcaption.com. The full trader identity and registered address appear on every invoice and are available on request at that address.

The boring but honest part

The software is provided as is; to the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including legal guarantee rights. These terms are governed by Italian law; if you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of your country of residence. If a change to these terms would meaningfully affect you, it will be announced before it applies.
